Their legacy has been connected to the 20th century immigration from Europe that came to America in pursuit of their creative dream, including a number of celebrated American handbag designers, such as Judith Leiber (Hungary), Charles Hahn and Lucille Hahn of Lucille de Paris (France), Martin Van Schaak (France), Nettie Rosenstein (Austria), Henry Cross of Mark Cross (Ireland), and Ludwig Lederer of Lederer de Paris (Austria).
